Why I do this

I've always enjoyed solving the problems everyone else assumes are too complicated.

I'm Amanda Ford. Since 2000, I've helped nonprofits, businesses, and community organizations understand difficult work, simplify it, and build the right way forward.

From process to platform, the work should become simpler at every step.

Years ago, I rarely recommended custom software because it was often expensive and difficult to maintain. Today, the tools have changed. Many organizations can finally have systems that fit the way they actually work without the cost and complexity that once made custom development impractical.

That does not mean custom software is always the answer. It means we can start with the process, evaluate the options honestly, and choose a better answer than another workaround.

The goal is not to build more. It is to make the work simpler.

Sometimes that means choosing an existing platform. Sometimes it means improving what is already in place. And sometimes the simplest long-term answer is a system designed around the people who will use it.

More than two decades of seeing the problem behind the request.

My work has crossed strategy, design, development, content, marketing, integrations, training, and custom applications. That range helps me recognize when a website problem is really a content problem, when a software request is actually a workflow problem, and when something genuinely needs to be built.

I care about the people on both sides of the screen.

The visitor should be able to find help, understand the message, or complete the task. The staff member should be able to maintain the work without fighting the system.

A beautiful result is not enough if it makes someone else's day harder.

You work directly with me.

I remain involved in the strategy, design, development, and important decisions. I explain options plainly, stay honest about scope, and bring in trusted specialists only when the work benefits from their expertise.

No account-manager relay. No disappearing after the sale.

Curious about what is possible. Careful about what is useful.

Modern tools have changed what small teams can create and maintain. I use them when they can make work faster, clearer, or more sustainable, while keeping the most important parts human: understanding people, making good decisions, and caring about the result.
